Cacapon Float Trip

The Friends of the Cacapon River partnered again with the Upper Potomac Riverkeeper and guide Mike Dudash in an exciting float from Capon Bridge to the Route 127 bridge.  Water levels were ideal (at 3.0 feet) and a bit of morning drizzle did not dampen the spirits of our 15 boaters.  We shared our route with a stunning bald eagle who flew with us for several miles.  And one lucky fisherman hauled in an amazing 12″ brook trout.  We conduct this float every May—free of charge—as a kick-off to our Keep the Cacapon Clean schedule of activities.
